Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan earned her postsecondary education at Columbia University in New York City, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1986. Subsequently, she gained admittance into the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and began studying medicine. In addition to her studies, Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor medical society that recognizes students with high academic achievements. After earning her M.D., Dr. Srinivasan began an internship with the Department of Surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

After completing the internship, Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan continued her training in Seattle from 1991 until 1999. She completed her residency in neurological surgery at the University of Washington, during which she had the opportunity to spend a year at Atkinson Morley’s Hospital (now a wing of St. George’s Hospital) in London. She also served as a Cerebrovascular Fellow, also at the University of Washington.

Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan then spent two years as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. She returned to Seattle in private practice at Swedish Medical Center and joined Seattle Neurosurgery, Neurosurgical Consultants of WA in 2004. Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan performs surgery to address a number of spine and brain diseases, including tumors, cerebrovascular diseases, and degenerative spinal conditions. She has been recognized by Seattle magazine and Seattle Metropolitan magazine as a top doctor.

In order to supplement her medical career, Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan belongs to a number of professional organizations, including the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Board of Neurological Surgery. In addition to her surgical practice, Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan has published a number of articles and given numerous presentations.
